It could be a marriage made in heaven if the two of you pop down to 170 Works at 137 New Cross Road.
170 Works launched a new services for residents on Friday 25th January. With five full-time staff the project offers a very personalised service where you can take your time to find work that you are really happy with.
When you register with 170 Works the staff team will look at 'the bigger picture' always bearing in mind that your job searching may be related to your financial, housing, health and family situation.
Funded by NDC until March 2010, the project is delivered by 170 Community Project which is run by local people for local people.
Cory Ricketts Employer Liaison Worker is busy looking for employment opportunities for residents in the area. He told us "We're looking to secure more quality employment opportunities for people, we have already established links with employers such as REED Employment, Sainsburys, Aldi, Coral, Balfour and we hope to co-ordinate up and coming vacancies with Beatty and Dreams. We hope to ensure a good mix of public and private companies and get in-depth feedback from employers about what they are looking for in potential employees."

Kate Parkinson Skills Development Worker said: "If you feel stuck and want to enhance or update your skills to make you more employable you definitely need to come to see us. We can help you access volunteering opportunities and to use IT effectively to get the right job for you."
If you couldn't make the launch, from 28th January 170 Works opening hours are:
Monday: 9:30am - 1pm and 2pm - 5pm
Tuesday: 2pm - 8pm
Wednesday: 9:30am - 1pm and 2pm - 5pm
Thursday: 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 5pm
Friday: 9:30am - 1pm and 2pm - 5pm
Saturday: 10am - 1pm
