Health Access Project

This project specifically targets refugees and asylum seekers living in NDC and provides support in helping them to access local health services. This is achieved by group sessions and 121 support. The projects hosts a number of events around the year which are organised by refugee and asylum seekers and gives those outside this target group the opportunity to find out more about the different cultures and lifestyles. It also has live musicians and performances. The project also raises awareness about complimentary therapy and ran a series of workshops to raise awareness of aromatherapy and reflexology. Special belly dancing sessions were out on for women to attend to improve the amount their daily levels of physical activity and improve general well-being.

The project has recently secured some additional funding from Pfizer UK to deliver extra activities to enhance the great stuff the project is already doing.
