Peer Mentoring Now

Peer Mentoring Now is a continuation and development of a historical peer mentoring project that was established in Deptford Green School over 3 years ago with NDC funding. Peer Mentoring Now currently works with Deptford Green students where they undergo training to become peer mentors in order to work with younger students or mentees. The main purpose of the project is to support the educational attainment of pupils/students resident within the NDC area.

Feedback from mentors:
"Was hard work but really enjoyed working with the children",
" the experience has made me think of getting a job working with kids",
"really enjoyed pairing up with other peer mentors - good to volunteer to help others"

Feedback from mentees:
"Nice to have someone in school to share stuff",
"my mentor was really friendly and helpfull",
"looked forward to time with my mentor"
