Family Learning

The family is the primary base for learning. The Family Learning Project in New Cross Gate NDC area involves parents/carers and their children learning together. It also creates opportunities for parents to know more about how their children learn at school, so they can more effectively support their children’s learning at home.

Family Learning encourages parents to improve their own skills and learn something new with their children. It aims to support families who face barriers to learning or who are not confident helping their children to learn. Family learning encourages individuals to see the process of learning as an activity that carries on throughout their lifetime, and not just when they are attending full-time education.

Family Learning in New Cross Gate is exciting, innovative and fun. Previous activities have been a great success including ICT, arts and crafts, as well as Information, Advice and Guidance. Contact Jill to find out how to get involved.
