The New Cross Art Prize is open to artists of all ages, types and proficiencies who live, work or study in New Cross or New Cross Gate. Shortlisted and winning artists' entries will be displayed at Lewisham Art House between the 24.09.08 and the 05.10.08.
The aim of the prize is to celebrate the artistic diversity of New Cross and New Cross Gate and to open a channel for collaboration and co-operation between artists of all kinds in the area.

Submission Process
Submissions will be received on Thursday the 11.09.08 and Friday the 12.09.08 between 10am and 4pm at:

Artists should print and fill in an application form, available from the website.
Evidence that the artist lives, works or studies in New Cross or New Cross Gate must be included with works submitted. Evidence can include bank statements, utility bills, invoices, etc.
Collection Process
Works not chosen for the exhibition will be required to be collected on Friday the 19.09.08 from Goldsmiths Students' Union between 10am and 4pm. Please contact us if this is not possible.
Works exhibited must be collected on Monday the 06.10.08 from Lewisham Art House between 10am and 4pm, without exceptions. Please contact us if this is not possible.

Prizes/Exhibition
All six prize winners will have their work displayed in the exhibition. Shortlisted artists will also have their work displayed in the exhibition in spite of not having won a prize.
The exhibition of shortlisted work and prize-winning works will take place at the Lewisham Art House between the 24.09.08 and the 05.10.08. Opening times will be confirmed in invitations and on the New Cross Art Prize website closer to the time of the exhibition.
