An introduction to the responsibilities of employers.
This course is for trustees, management committee members and managers, as well as local community group members who are considering taking on paid staff.
Course Aims
to raise the awareness of employers about good practice in the workplace and employment law issues.
The course will cover:
- the difference between employees and the self-employed and why it is important for employers to get it right
- employment contracts and the details that must be written down
- the employment policies and procedures that are required by law and good practice
- where to get more information
